Have you seen this? http://www.thisdayinmusic.com

It shows you what was #1 on the charts on the day you were born.

(Go to Birthday No.1 at the top of the site, it’s free, you don’t have to log in).

My number 1's are:

'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US

'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK

'Ben' by Michael Jacskon in Australia

Loads of other good fun music trivia on the site as well.

Sure do. Wanna lend me some?

Or we could take up a collection....

The MegaMillions is up to $350 and climbing. If I win on Friday, I'd be happy to spread some of it around

Ah. It wasn't me to allow scripting.

US - TSOP (The sound of Philadephia) -MFSB feat the Three Degrees

UK - Seasons In The Sun - Terry Jacks

AUS - My Coo Ca Choo - Alvin Stardust

Wouldn't it be more interesting to check what was #1 nine months before you were born so you could visualize your parents getting funky to it?

US - Will It Go Round In Circles - Billy Preston <--- too damn funny

UK - Skweeze Me Pleeze Me - Slade <---- eww

AUS - Daisy A Day - Jud Strunk <--- okay

You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
