Wonder if anybody else has heard this album which arrived today in the post.

A raggae/dub take on Pink Floyd's Dark side classic from 1973 by the Easy Star All Stars.

As it is described so eloquently by the producer, Len oppenheimer, in the cd sleeve notes:

The arranging of the material was a challenging task; we were determined to get to the heart of the piece and turn it into something that might have been recorded this way in some parallel universe. The basic idea was to combine the original melodies and chord structures with with raggae rhythms, right?

I think they do get it right [after one and a half listens, anyway] :D

Yep, they did a great job. I think we posted it somewhere on the boards awhile back, but not sure where. Here's a video of them live...

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
