osmo creative starter kit with base, ipad, markers

SAVE 50%: Invest in some educational screen time with the Osmo Creative Starter Kit. It's on sale for just $34.99, down from $69.99, at Amazon as of August 3.

It's easy to let your kids fall back into a screen time spiral as soon as school is back in session. But there are things you can do to make that screen time as educational as possible.

Osmo is an iPad and Fire Tablet add-on that aims to teach kids about coding, spelling, creativity, problem solving, and more through interactive blocks and game pieces. The starter kit is made for kids ages five to 10, but add-on packs for stuff like STEM or business-related math are often intended for middle schoolers as well.

As of August 3, Amazon has the Osmo Creative Starter Kit for iPad on sale for just $34.99. That's 50% off its usual cost of $69.99 and just shy of its lowest price ever. (The same kit for the Fire Tablet is on sale for $57.39.)

The starter kit includes the Osmo base and reflector for iPad, the creative board, four dry erase markers, a marker pouch, stackable storage for each game, and three game apps to start kids off. Once you have the starter kit, you can purchase add-on packs to keep things exciting. (Many of these add-on packs are also on sale.)

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
