Eddie Palmieri I am proud to say is another legend who was born in my home town NY, NY, the city so nice they named it twice. ;) Palmieri is still active in music today

Palmieri Wins 9th Grammy

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has awarded Eddie Palmieri's newest release, Simpatico , the 2007 Grammy in the "Best Latin Jazz Album" category. Simpatico is a collaboration with trumpet master Brian Lynch.

This is Eddie Palmieri's 9th Grammy in a career that spans over 50 years and was awarded on February 11, 2007 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

No, unfortunatly I am not a musician, unless you count the year of piano I took when I was 9 or 10. No I guess that wouldn't count :(, but fortunatly as a kid growing up through the 70's and 80's living in this wonderful melting pot of a city I learned to appreciate all types of music. I have to give thanks to the grandparents for the appreciation for jazz though. B)

I will be hipping some of my musician friends to the forum I think they would enjoy it.
