"You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" is a song originally released by Dead or Alive on their 1985 album Youthquake.

This song was the first UK number-one hit for the Stock Aitken Waterman production trio. Originally released in November 1984, the record reached number one in March 1985, taking seventeen weeks to get there.

The music video for the song is cheaply made, very surreal and tells no story, but the visuals are nevertheless bizarre (such as Pete Burns in a purple kimono, seemingly growing extra arms, or him with the infamous eyepatch; the other three band members tied up in some ribbons; close-ups of a disco ball, etc.).
