London-based producer and composer kiskadee is a brilliant artist. He knows how to utilize each sound to serve a specific purpose that results in music we can’t help but love. After extensive work behind the scenes, collaborating with artists such as Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Tycho Jones and engineering for artists such as Jessie Ware and M.I.A, Jack Chown revealed his solo project: kiskadee.

While preparing to embark to Iceland to collect sounds and visuals for the project, COVID-19 hit and forced him to rethink his approach. Instead, he reached out to friends via social media and asked them to send voice notes detailing their experiences in isolation, experiences which he would flip into beats and eventually crystalize into four songs for his debut EP. It’s this type of creativity that has earned him so much support and anticipation for the project.

Now, kiskadee is back with his cinematic sophomore single, “YOU“. Featuring intelligent indietronica production, “YOU” is a collaboration with the talented vocalist TEME, who provides captivating vocals that enhance its undeniable potency. The track comes on the heels of kiskadee’s debut single, “_DOWN”, which was praised by the likes of Complex UK and Magnetic Mag while notching a #1 slot on the HypeM charts.

YOU” is beautifully hypnotic from start to finish, a song that deserves to be in your playlists! Check it out below.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
