Gay Sheep Found To Have Slightly Different Brains

Rams which prefer mating with other males rather than females have been found to have changes in their brains which induces their 'gay' behavior. It is believed that a similar difference is exhibited between heterosexual and homosexual men also.

Studies carried out at the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine showed that rams and ewes have differing amounts of brain cells in particular areas which control sexual behavior.

Gay sheep have smaller areas than their straight counterparts, adding weight to the theory that homosexuality is biologically governed in human males. Researchers found that about 8% of the sheep that they studied displayed gay-like behavior.
