Thanks!

No plans tonight, so I might push ahead with my programming book (VB). My brother is getting me a SQL book for my birthday, so I need to finish off my VB book before he gives it to me!

As I said in some other post about the Arctic Monkeys, I went out in Sheffield with some friends last Saturday. The next day we went out to the Peak District National Park - a beautiful part of the country which is preserved as a park for the surrounding (formally) industrial northern towns. The locals don't know how good they have it (except for the whole jobless thing) and never seem to visit.

My parents and brother are making the 210 mile trip from my home town to Doncaster where I currently reside this coming Saturday.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
