SCION IS LAUNCHING THE ULTIMATE INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE:

THE SECOND INSTALLMENT OF THE SCION DASHBOARD

FREE! Paint your own clay model Scion and enjoy free coffee/tea at the Scion Dashboard.

February 8 – March 2, 2007

Wicker Park

FOUR (1551 West Division St.)

Chicago, Illinois

Following the success of the Dashboard Art Installation in San Francisco, Scion and mBF are showcasing and supporting local emerging talent while recognizing the Wicker Park district as an important cultural and creative hub in Chicago. Scion Dashboard invites the public in during the day to create their own ceramic Scion; enjoy coffee, hot chocolate and tea from Café Vitta; and be entertained by the sounds of Scion local resident, DJ Intel. There is also free wireless internet, so guests are encouraged to stay and hang out in the café as long as they like.

On February 12, 19, and 27, Scion consumers are invited to feast on pizza from Lou Malnati’s while enjoying independent films including Favela Rising and Next: A Primer on Urban Painting. A special director’s Q&A will follow each event.

Please RSVP to www.scion.com/dashboard/calendar

For the entire month of February, Scion Dashboard (www.scion.com/dashboard) will take over the FOUR restaurant, transforming it into a place where dining, music, art, and entertainment convene under one roof to offer the best of Chicago to consumers, tastemakers, and industry executives.

With artwork on display and DJ’s playing, the space is open every day to the public. It’s a great study spot for students who need free wireless internet and free coffee to keep them focused. Also, it’s a great spot for parents to take their kids, they can paint a clay model Scion and take it home with them, for free as well.

Look forward to seeing you!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
