memory problem

I was worried, Joe--I thought at first you were referring to your memory or some alzheimer's problem--age can co that, you know

But since this your friend's problem, I have breathed a sigh of relief. Memory allocated by Internet Explorer is being overwritten by something else, or it could be IE corrupting it's own memory space

Maybe the problem has nothing to do with the online game - this is where I plagiarized from - maybe it will provide a clue to where the problem really is

Everything is current and up to date. The problem is still here.

How do we find out about the memory overwrite thing?

Write a full description of what the problem is and what you have done to date, and I will post it at AskMetafilter...those people are pretty sharp. Or join (it costs 5 bucks)--more than worth it.

Here's a related sample from AskMF

Haven't really done a lot. Updated Windows. Installed sp2. Installed IE7. Reinstalled Shockwave, Flash and Java. Also we get booted from the Java site as well as the game site. We can still access the interenet in general though.

And the fucking thing still doesn't work!!

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
