Merry Xmas Everyone. Tomorrow I'm go do some last minute xmas shopping, kick back on Sunday, and celebrate Christmas with some friends on Monday. May try to catch a movie inbetween - any suggestions? Weather wise, no snow in LA, but it's windy as hell!

Whataboutyou?

Hey Merry Christmas Everyone...and to you Dude!

This is the first time I've ever been caught up so early. Presents are wrapped, baking is done and everything is bought for a Christmas brunch here at home with family and friends. Last count...14 for brunch! LOL Going to relax this weekend except for the minor things that always have to be done before company visits....and it will all be done before the Steeler-Ravens game on Christmas Eve afternoon! Hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday!

Hey everyone,

Sounds like everyone is having a pretty relaxing weekend for the most part. I just wanted to share pics of my new little puppy, Fletcher. He's a beagle that we adopted from the vet. He's only around 5 or 6 weeks old, and he's the runt of his family so he is tiny right now. He's currently snoozing away as because the vet went ahead and neutered him as required by law. Poor thing. But he seems to be doing fine. As it stands now my cat, Hal is afraid of the puppy. Can you believe that? Well, I'd like to keep it that way til Fletch gets a little bigger and they have a chance to get acquainted.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy christmas and new year's. :)

Merry Christmas everyone!

*hugs*

My cutesy boyfriend baked me a cookie the size of a pizza... he tried to make it as dairy-free as possible (I'm the most lactose-intolerant person you'll ever know). See, I always say, "Want a cookie?" when I'm unimpressed with something, so this is his huge way of being a smartass.

Today I'm meeting my mom and aunt at the casino... I don't think either of them wanted to cook. Charming huh?

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
