As a film school graduate, there are just too many to list. I like just about anything Kubrick, Hitchcock, Polanski and Billy Wilder ever did.

Since the new 007 is on my mind to see, I think the best Bond movie was The Spy Who Loved Me

i broke down and finally bought V for Vendetta last week, after watching it like 20x when i rented it from amazon; watched it twice last week.

as well, i've got The Notorious Bettie Page, very cool flick and Iraq for Sale which i still haven't watched--i'm angry enough at the gov't as it is, waiting to mellow a bit before watching it.

i haven't been to a theatre in years---too expensive. oh wait, i saw this film about birds flying all over the world in Germany a few years back; it was very good (birdies had cameras on them and were tracked as they migrated). but Germany's got everything so cheap it's incredible. here and in the States, it's different.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
