<SOAPBOX-MODE>

Hey guys and ladies! I'm glad to see many of you here! Sorry, but I was out for the weekend at my parents house and well... there's no internet there ever since I left. I will be adding more stuff as you people request it and here is one place where I'm letting you know.

Feedback Forums have been added under the BeatKing :: Site News category as requested by a few members. I have submitted my site to a few search engines already, including Google, and as logs are showing, they have been in and out of here quite often. :)

Requests are always welcome as this is a small but growing community of music fans. Thank you all for joining! I really appreciate it!

So far it's just a pre-opening. It becomes official (for me at least) on November 1, 2003!

10-27-2003:

Added Blues Forum

Added 60's Forum

Added Classical Forum

All under the BeatKing :: Music category :) Enjoy!

Yoda! Where did he go?

MIDI was dying so that was never added...

Downloads are here, but not very organized... we don't need to get sued yet.

Yoda shows up on occasion - it was his birthday last week

The downloads section is organized and popular - it's pretty much devoted to new albums (mostly streaming) unless the artist or member makes them available.

We need more writers per genre - then we could have more downloads across the board

***IF YOU READ BELOW THIS LINE, YOU AGREE TO STFU AND KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT TO THE RIAA***

Of course our downloads are one of the most popular sections! We ARE MUSIC! B)

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
