Getter Drops Twisted New Single “BAD ACID” [LISTEN]

Getter takes us on a “BAD ACID” trip with his latest production — and we can say this — it’s infinitely more interesting than much of the new music we’ve heard today.

The production is sly and creeps up, with little trippy intricacies and vocal samples that lead into the meat of the production. Shape-shifting sounds and twisted vibes lace the track, which spews distorted synths and a downright sickening groove. With Getter, we never know what to expect, but nothing could have prepared us for this.

Saying this as a diehard Getter fan, I wish “BAD ACID” were longer so it could completely consume me. However, it lives up to the name — had I taken some bad acid (or even good acid) this would be one of those 2-minute stretches in time that seems to go on for eternity. Maybe he did us a courtesy in keeping it short.

Either way, we’re loving it! Listen here.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
