SWANK SOCIETY RADIO

WEDNESDAYS

8:00-10:00 PM. CST. - GOLDEN MOVMENTS W/ DJ GOLD “D”

Golden Movements I will present to you all of the good sounds from Jazz, Rare Grooves to Garage & Deep House

THURSDAYS

6:00 PM – 8:00PM CST. BACK OF THE BUS W/ AFRICA HOT

b-side, obscure cuts of course, because that’s what us DJ’s do right? But also, I want to revisit music that may have not been presented in the proper context…INXS behind some Roy Ayers…Brenda Russell after some Sergio Mendes…Dr. Buzzard after some Chaka….shit like that. But also expand from there, infusing Afro-beat, conscious hip-hop, tribal/deep house, anything that’s gonna beat in the system. The point is to keep people guessing, and challenge them to investigate on a substantial level just how they view the world through sound"

8:30 PM – 10:30 PRESS PLAY! W/ DUANE (DR.WAX) POWELL

Excursions in Soul, Jazz & Beyond. Thanks to all friends & fans for checkin last week. The response is phenomenal.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
