I know this isn't specific just to the blues but is it just me or is radio becoming more controlled? The more I read and listen to all these stations I feel it's alot of stamped output. I know many artists have to deal with clear channel ( letting them produce their concerts) in order to get their songs heard. Just one more thing that's starting to piss me off about corporate america, I'm not impressed with their last minute moral code of conduct either, lol let me know what you all think. :)

Everything you say is true....Clear Channel is a growing threat to the freedoms of this country politically, with their lineup of right wing talk-zealots, and their stranglehold on the music artists has smothered out many successful recording careers. Only a handful of artists are heard on their stations, and any who vocally disagree with the Republican administration are blackballed.

Screw Clear Channel--they are hypocrites, and I will listen to whatever I want when I want. I purposely stay away from them and support Public Radio

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
