Showing off the official video to his latest single today is Sweden’s talented Mountain Bird. With his forthcoming EP DearBrainLetMeSleep coming at the start of next year, the artist presents the visuals to ‘Hiding Underwater,’ which was released via Nettwerk Records.

The track and concept came straight from the heart, and stirs up rave-esque beats alongside haunting lyrics about heartbreak and overcoming moments of deep sadness. Explaining ‘Hiding Underwater,’ Mountain Bird (also known as Adam Öhman) says:  I was in a really dark place when I wrote this. And at that time almost felt like hurting myself or do something worse was a good idea, but I got myself together. I just got so tired of always trying to cope with my brain the first thing in the morning and not just wake up and go you know… It’s like you have to tame a beast every time you’d wanna do something and therefore I wanted to swap my brain with someone. Just anyone.”

The beautiful video was shot in Berlin, where Öhman moved after the break up of a long-term relationship. With direction from Maren Langer, it is centred around the artist in different settings – working its way through a variety of colour schemes and representing his feelings of loneliness and solitude brilliantly.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
