Hey thanks everybody! :D

Talked to my dad on the phone for a bit, he wished me a happy Bidet and he's coming up on Saturday.

Renewed my license today (passed the eye test AGAIN without me glasses!)

Went to the dentist--still NO cavities!

Beat the heat in an air-conditioned vault pouring over 1785 Justice of the Peace records...

Got home, most of my kids had made me handmade cards, my wife baked me a cake and got me another copy of Titan Quest so we can play together online :D

spent a couple hours hacking that so I could run it on this laptop (my videocard doesn't have pixel shader 1.1) and import my characters from her computer's CD code to my new one...and again when we accidently updated my quest to "finished" lol

And then logged on here and saw you guys had wished me a happy birthday!

All in all, a good day to turn 42!

Sorry for the much belated wishes man.

I just figured at your age if we made too much of a hooplah you might have a stroke.

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
