Just use the "report post to a moderator" feature. Any one of us would be happy to help.

morning, people. i noticed that we have two similar threads: "what are you listening to" and "now playing" Can they be merged?

Also, Beatfactory dropped by and left us a nice note on the Welcome Pebbles thread. He also started a thread for new member fMikeh..

What are you listening to? is a thread in the Now Playing forum. As such, no I don't think they can be merged.

do you guys have an RSS thingy for a feedreader? i looked but can't find it (yeah, i know--you prolly don't). but it would be really cool if you did; i installed one last night and love it. :P

just a thought, not necessary--i end up here twenty+ times/day anyway. B)

no, but it kinda looks like one. after you snag a feed-app, you subscribe to wotever site you dig (usually via a little orange XML or RSS button) and you get the latest bits but can't respond. it's a one-way sort of thing.

now if only someone would build one so i wouldn't have to go outside for cigs &c.

Ok I have a problem. We have Pop under the Metal category. I'd like to post a Pop story but I don't think it being placed under Metal is appropriate. I really think there should be a Pop forum, or at least this should be categorized better. Feedback?

we had a debate on this and changed 'pop' to contemporary because the english folks didnt like the terminology. i pointed out that the ny times and slate call the same stuff 'pop' lol

do you think we should change contemporary to contemporary/pop ?

I would suggest that suggestion. It seems to favor the British at this point and we need a compromise. I personally, do not link Pop to Contemporary. Contemporary to me is like The Carpenters.

Excuse me Mister Dude..... but the problem was that YOU moved a Joni Mitchell post from Rock into Pop when it was better suited to be in a Contemporary category...... there was no problem with having a Pop category.... Contemporary and Pop arent the same thing :P

I agree with LOTD.... the music forums need some proper sorting out into less confusing sections....

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
