ok, i just joined the forums and i will make 1 suggestion to make this site better.

This forum has WAY to many topics. You can narrow threads down by joining eg. R&B with rap and hip hop or Oldies with the 60s, 70s... section..... Also i saw some sections are really not needed like Betaking fun. You can make one lounge altogether. And the magazine section. you could just post all the musicnews in one section and so on....

This way it would be easier to keep track of threads and making easier to find where to post. i'd like to know what you think

lol

Funny you should mention that. We just removed 4 forums.

Also, a description of Beatking Fun was added, it really is for different stuff than the lounge.

Your other ideas don't sound bad, we'll talk them over.

Look at this guy. Trying to run the place on his first day!! j/k

But seriously, we have been discussing that very thing in the mods corner for a while. Some of these things are going to be changed.

how about adding my ass to the moderating team so I can join the talks? lol

Personaly id like an electronica/trip hop section.

i suggested that to dude. Also a drum n bass could fit in the techno/house section. Also the international section could be renamed to "world music". Dead Can Dance, Enigma, Manu Chao....etc...african, indian music and all that.

electronica - dance, house, dnb, trip hop

rock - death metal, indie rock

urban - hip hop, rnb

oldies - ..old stuff!

jazz

reggae - dub, classic..

I think some genres will have there own genre without sub genres like pop/top 40 stuff...i dunno maybe im taking it to far..

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
