Good link, thanks. :)

In case you try to post here again, please accept my apologies. We hadn't intended to allow guests to post, and once it was realized that we had made the mistake it was fixed.

hell man... you cant go wrong with roots stuff like peter tosh or burning spear. Im also into king tubby, yellowman, eek a mouse, pato banton, jimmy cliff.

also, lee perry is responsible for so much of the dub out there. in texas it might be bob wills but in the islands bob marley is still the king...

last, this is a website that one of my oldest and best friends just set up to promote himself. after I get some good copies I'll be happy to share some of his music with whatever reggae fans there are here: http://www.love-life-records.com/index.htm

blackwolff's name is Neil and he has some damn good lyrical hip hop and roots reggae tracks... been distributed in bermuda and jamaica for a few monthes now and just got distribution rights in the USA. stop by and wish him luck!

You guys have listed some great bands...couple of my favourites...

1. Morgan Heritage

2. Black Uhuru

3. Third World

It's strange, but I find it scary that not many bads are coming to take the place of these legends...

What do you guys think? Who would you say is a HOT new Reggae band?

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
