Federline shops 8 Mile script idea

Recommended Posts

Kevin Federline wants to make an 8 Mile-style film about himself.

The fledgling rapper - who is married to pop star Britney Spears - is reportedly seeking wealthy sponsors to back his project, which would cast him in the lead role.

However, Britney - who is pregnant with the couple's second child - is not keen on her husband's acting ambitions.

A source is quoted on the MSNBC website as saying: "Britney has heard that Kevin is working on a script and trying to get funding for the film.

"She is really upset. She fears Kevin just wants to promote himself at her expense to further his career."

This is not the first time the couple have had disagreements over Kevin's ambitions to become a star in his own right.

The 28-year-old former dancer recently said he was tired of being overshadowed by his famous wife and could not wait to be respected for his talent.

He said: "I wish people would ask me about my career. Usually it's 'How's the wife and kids?'

"The day they judge me as an artist, not Britney Spears' husband, that's the day I am looking forward to."

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
