Rising young producer/DJ Bodalia is back, this time with a fresh new remix for NERVO’s latest track “Habit.” The med student by day, DJ by night is one of the more unique figures in the industry. Having developed quite a reputation with the student DJ scene in Europe, (Kishan) Bodalia has had an official remix for Lost Frequencies, and has garnered radio support on BBC Radio 1, all while being a full time medical school student. His remix of “Habit” is sure to garner tons of plays on dance music radio.

The original version of “Habit” is very much a mainstream-leaning pop song, the Bodalia remix takes the original, turns up the tempo, and transforms it into a much more proper dance floor tune. As the NERVO sisters vocals play out, the synths and percussion elements set the perfect tone, along with a nice bassline and low end. The synths get brighter and more production elements come into play as the the song gets to the pre-chorus. Finally for the drop/chorus we get full on summer house vibes, perfect for either the club or a day party. The combination of well-refined dance music elements and the NERVO sisters addictive vocal hooks make this a perfect compliment to any DJ set this summer.

Kishan originally met NERVO (more specifically, their tour manager) backstage at their NERVO Nation event at Ushuaïa Ibiza back in 2017. After partying with the girls again at their Ministry of Sound show in London a few months later and receiving support from them on one of his previous releases, the girls invited him to put his own personal spin on “Habit”

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
