MS Vista Beta2 Available Today

i don`t know that i`ll be moving over to vista just yet..i don`t really like what i`ve heard security and media-wise about vista so far....i`m due to upgrade my system in a couple of weeks..it will be vista-ready but will have xp pro build 2600 w/SP2 (stable as a rock) installed on it until i`m damn sure....... :)

Nothing wrong with looking at it, but I wont ever use it.

From what I've read, it has about 6 different DRM components.

I will not be dictated to by my operating system. The operating system works for me, not the other way around.

I will not have software policing me. I'm able to bypass some of the limiting quirks (intentional or not) of Windows XP, but I'm not touching this. I'm sure the industry has been tweaking it constantly to suit their need of telling me what to do.

...this is one of the issues that was making me nervous about running vista full time..oh well. as you say..nothing wrong with looking.....

linux is easy enough now for the average stupid user like myself and when the time comes, I will switch

i`ve just been playing around with a knoppix live cd.......i visited bk on konquerer the other day... :)

      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
