The meteoric rise of rap stars these days isn't too rare a sight to witness anymore and the next rapper to emerge from SoundCloud's fortress, Big Kaino, seems to follow a familiar pattern that suggests the same for his career. After dropping off his "Asshole" debut single in 2018, nabbing a No Jumper cosign and reportedly turning down a Def Jam deal in the process, Kaino returns this year to capitalize on the momentum with his latest "On Me" track.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
