Will Smith Gets Flamed For Genie In Live-Action "Aladdin" After Trailer Drops

90s babies have been interested in the live-action remakes of two films this year: Aladdin and The Lion King. The trailer for Aladdin aired last night during the Grammys and it seems to have lost the momentum it once had. Will Smith's role as a blue genie isn't winning everyone over and you already know that the Internet had something to say about it.

Will Smith's role as the Genie in Aladdin is receiving some backlash with a few fans wishing they could unsee the film's trailer. The long-awaited trailer finally aired last night and a lot of people weren't impressed with the outcome. Will Smith's face looks like it was photoshopped onto the body of an Avatar. 

Ironically, Disney caught flack in December after a teaser was released showing Will Smith in his natural form. However, he did reassure fans that he would turn blue although it won't be for the film's entirety. "I told y'all I was gon' be Blue!! Y'all need to trust me more often!" He said on Instagram.

Unfortunately, the blue Genie seemed to have caused an even larger amount of backlash. Some fans claimed that Will Smith's depiction of the Genie has ruined their childhoods while others said that he has caused them nightmares.
