Scam sites, advertised on Beat King

Just a quick and obvious question.

I'm sure the administration has it's "reasons" for advertisements on Beat King (top, by the logo), but I was wondering, why is Beat King displaying ads to such sites as...

findanymusic.com

...a known "scam" site (you pay, for them to give you an otherwise free P2P client, and a little "support")?

I mean, advertisements are fine, but why these? I'm sure Beat King is not directly responsible for every single ad displayed, but perhaps Beat King can receive adverts from a source that doesn't link to such sites?

I believe in the freedom of P2P.

I compiled a very long list, a while back, for all these types of sites. It was posted at "http://www.supportp2p.com", but the site went under.

Sadly, I lost the list completely.

Perhaps though, it's once again time for me to compile the list, and maybe post it here, at Beat King.

I'd like to add that this is a Community website and that when members talk we listen because BK is their site, too.

(kooperman, do you think you could call Cheney and get H aboard at BK--I hear they have alot of dough... )

You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
