Music/Entertainment Merged?

Just wondering why these sub-forums were merged. I kinda enjoyed them being separate. In any case:

should probably be changed.

Method complained that only you and he were posting music and entertainment news. I told him I only posted in Entertainment, because, whether I was posting music or movie (entertainment) news, they both went to the front page. He asked whether we should merge them, and Shawn and I felt it didnt make a difference.

But I agree the description does not foot the bill...its not really about favorite music and artists--its about all things entertainment.

If the description was changed, would you still have a problem with the merge?

Sometimes I visit, get three pages of new posts.... and all three pages are only you... so I'd buy that for a dollar.

It's a tough crowd - have to keep things moving :P

If the description was changed again, then I might be content with the merge. Right now it sounds similar to "brown bag special."

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
