The free app HandBrake Lite creates iPod-sized movies from DVDs. Here are some details from their website:

HandBrake is an open-source, GPL-licensed, multiplatform, multithreaded DVD to MPEG-4 converter, available for MacOS X, Linux and Windows.

Outputs:

File format: MP4, MKV, AVI or OGM

Video: MPEG-4 or H.264 (1 or 2 passes or constant quantizer/rate encoding)

I have ISquint and AudialHub for Macs. I can make them available by request - the question is, if i make a copy of an app, will others be able to make them work on their machines. Anyone know?

Any DVD Converter Pro..."Excellent value for money!"... :lol: :lol:

i use this for converting DVD tv series to mpeg4 video..it has an amazing array of presets as well..very good quality and fast conversion times with a dual processor box. i use the portable version...and run it on a USB drive....it also d/loads vids from Youtube and converts them to whatever format you want.... :thumbsup:

How to rip DVD mac?

1. Insert DVD disc into your DVD drive and click "Load DVD" button to the DVD ripper software.
