Estranged EVANESCENCE guitarist BEN MOODY has hooked up with AVRIL LAVIGNE, according to reports.

The guitarist, who co-wrote all of the band's 'Fallen' album, mysteriously walked out on the band last year at the height of their success without any explanation, leaving them to soldier on following their international smash 'Bring Me To Life'.

Now, according to MTV, Moody has resurfaced in the team that is putting together Lavigne's second album, which also includes Linkin Park producer Don Gilmore and Our Lady Peace singer Raine Maida. A spokesperson for Lavigne says Moody contacted her and offered his services.

Lavigne split from production house The Matrix, the team behind her multi-platinum selling album 'Let Go', last year, and expects to put out the follow-up this year. Meanwhile, The Matrix are working on the second album from Kelly Osbourne.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
