Nobody has commented on this, so I don't know if there's any interest in this type post or not. Before it sinks into oblivion I will add that there is an updated patch for the problem described in the article....click on the words "its Web site" in the 2nd paragraph of the article to go get it.

Maybe some people hold back because they have less than legit copies. They are waiting to see if half of the people they know disappear off of the net to know whether or not it has adverse effects. psychofun

imo all critical updates should be installed. Never install any other updates except critical. I'll show you what I mean (it's greek but looks the same)

I wish I could read that... :huh:

I install some of the Windows 'recommended' updates at times but not always. Drivers are sometimes a big no no because it is usually a Microsoft driver of some sort unless it explains that it is a nVidia UPDATE driver or something like that.

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
