I'm a bit early for most people here, but screw you guys.

I couldn't wait to tell you all my new car is all Vroooooooom and i'm all

I would post some pics, but I dont have a camera and i cant afford one now either. I cant afford to refill the tank either lol.

So this weekend will be spent increasing my credit card limit, filling up the petrol and driving to a bunch of places.

I drove your way Slum, but even the outskirts of Bristol is a dump, so I turned around and came back at the junction before the M4/M5 one (the one for that big shopping centre).

Congrats on the car MI! New stuff is fun, especially a car!

This weekend will be spent... doing nothing. Moping, probably. Dave left last night for Kuwait, I have no idea when we'll speak or see each other again. I wish them all the best.

Today: Gonna go to Nacogdoches this afternoon to Stephen F. Austin University, gonna come back to downtown Houston tonight and go to a big party the Betas are throwing... what happens after that is unknown

Saturday: Gotta be working everywhere, at night, probably going to be going out again, but don't know for sure yet,

Sunday: I might have some homework to do... I'm not sure.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
