While neither album is solidly "hip-hop" the production of Prince Paul (De La Soul) and Dan the Automater bleeds enough some of the hip-hop laced pop/jazz tunes to keep something of a feel.

Danger Doom - The Mouse and the Mask

How can you beat a teamup of MF Doom (one of the least lyricly stereotypical rappers today) and DJ Danger Mouse (of Grey Album fame, with sidekick notes on the Gorrilaz demon days album).

The cameos and samples from Cartoon Network's adult swim are entertaining. Not to mention that MF Doom makes pop/pulp culture references that only grown up kids would get.
