Hip Hop taken and blended into the globes cultures...

GRIME - Throwing together elements of UK Garage, Hip Hop and Drum 'n' Bass. Grime mixes them with the furious lyrical urgency of modern adolesence.

REGGAETON - Reggaeton takes its name from the music of Jamaica, but its popular rse is said to hav been the result of Panamanians introduced to Reggae in the '70s. By the late '80s, Spanish rap had been launched to the world via Puerto Rico, and in the early- to mid-90s the styles began to fuse.

BAILE FUNK - Baile Funk combines the booming low-end found in Miami Bass, with chopped up vocal samples edited on third-world computers. DJs mix in not just traditional Brazilian melodies, but overlay that with anything from some R&B to "Row Row Row Your Boat."

BONGO FLAVAS - The introduction of Hip Hop into the Motherland has created Bongo Flavas, which incorporates distinctive African elements into the music born in the Bronx. While Bongo Flavas is growing across East Africa, the home of the scene is in Dar-e-Salaam, Tanzania.

BHANGRA - Bhangra is the best known export of Indian music, and its origins are in the ancient harvest dance of the Punjab region. Most of the Bhangra-Pop is actually created in the Desi Beats subculture of Great Britain, although now that is starting to trickle back into India and gain some native attention.
