this album leaked on the 9th and I must say it is a pretty good listen... my favorite tracks include all but 1, 5, 7, and 16... by the way, #4 with Krayzie Bone is titled "Ridin" everything else is correct.

The beef is as if it's non-existant. I dunno if you heard Bun B's "Draped Up" (H-Town Remix), but even artists who were beefing here in Houston are on the same track together (ie: Slim Thug & Lil Flip, Mike Jones & Chamillionaire)

He has the Houston sound... the closest that I can think of to compare him to delivery-wise is like he's someone out of Bone Thugs N Harmony and I only say this because he sings his catchy hooks but raps the verses. He has a few tracks (maybe 2) on there that are not like anything I've heard before where he has more of a a slurred, drawn out style, but it still sounds good.

Might have to check it.

The Houston sound is about the only thing draggin me out of east coast/underground style right now. I was big on the Bay when I was younger, but all this pop bling shit makes me sick.

Good to hear the beef isn't coming too far into the forefront. I've hit some articles on the deal, and it's more so about Swishahouse screwin Cham back when him and Paul Wall were a "duet."

Guess they shortchanged them and Cham made the descision to leave. Paul eventually headed back, but Cham couldn't let go of the principal behind it. Can't hate a man for upholding his principals.

While I always enjoy beef tracks, people can't seem to let it stay on wax anymore, so in those instances... I guess it's best left dead and buried, rather than the artists.

I'm trying to think right now (hard since I'm kinda buzzed still) but I think the only "bling-ish" type song on the album is "Turn It Up" which was custom-made for the radio/clubs. Most of the songs tell a good story and kinda make you think.

Actually when he and Paul were together, they were signed to Paid In Full Records, and sometime afterwards, they parted ways. Paul went back to the Swishahouse and Cham started Chamilitary Records. He explains it on a track on Mixtape Messiah (I forgot which one though ... I can't think too much right now)

Some of these songs go deep ... Give a listen to "Think I'm Crazy" featuring Natalie ("Going Crazy", "Energy") ... they are both managed by Latium Entertainment and the song is like :-O ... also give a listen to "Rain" featuring Scarface and Billy Cook

This album gets a 9/10 from me. Real talk.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
