What Are You Listening To?

I'm in a huge Built To Spill mood...go figure.

Nothing like meeting with a divorce attorney on the day of your 1 year anniversary. <_>

Built To Spill - You Were Right

You were wrong when you said everythings gonna be alright

You were wrong when you said everythings gonna be alright

You were right when you said all that glitters isn't gold

You were right when you said all we are is dust in the wind

You were right when you said we're all just bricks in the wall

And when you said manic depression's a frustrated mess

You were wrong when you said everythings gonna be alright

You were wrong when you said everythings gonna be alright

You were wrong when you said everythings gonna be alright

You were right when you said you cant always get what you want

You were right when you said it's a hard rain's gonna fall

You were right when you said were still running against the wind

Life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone

You were right when you said this is the end

Do you ever think about it?

Do you ever think about it?

Do you ever think about it?

Do you ever think about it?

Alarmed

in the hurry of the past

i forgot to make it last

simple choices made too fast

vie or die, i didn't count

i'm alarmed and i can't help from

crashing onto this island we've become

words for fighting, words for fun

they've all melted into one

on the tip of every tongue

like the new name for the sun

i'm alarmed and i can't recover from

crashing onto this island we've become

alright now, don't decide about that now

oh how can you blame the only one

ever stay, ever stay, ever stay around and you would

never say never say all the harms been done

and you were

all so gone oh so long, so long

did you make it all wrong, so wrong

did you wait oh so long, so long

did you take it all wrong, so wrong

OST - 21 Grams (Original Score)

--------------------------------

Feat Gustavo Santaolalla:

A major force in Latin American alternative music since the 1960s, Gustavo Santaolalla pioneered the fusion of his Argentine roots with rock, soul, African rhythms and Latin American folk. He established himself as one of the main institutions in the early stages of Argentine rock, the most respected musical movement of the Spanish-speaking youth. Santaolalla’s work as bandleader (Arco Iris, Soluna, Wet Picnic); solo artist (Santaolalla, GAS); and record producer (Café Tacuba, León Gieco, Caifanes, Maldita Vecindad, Los Prisionieros, Divididos, Molotov, etc.) further established him as an icon not only associated with Latin rock, but with a wide section of Latin American popular music as well.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
