CHROME DIVISION: Wines of Sin: 2ND album: Booze, Broads & Beelzebub (2008)..a marked improvement on their first album doomsday rock n roll that i have been thrashing....they still sound like motorhead..and still heavily into biker imagery..but in this case that`s a good thing...Ricky Black on lead guitar and Shagrath from dimmu borgir on rhythm guitar are pretty damn good on this one..

Derek Jordan - Living For Two (2009)

One of our members has just completed his first album, entitled Identity. His voice in the song reminds me a bit of Jim Morrison. You can stream the cut at his official website or check out some of the other offerings. If you are in LA, you can see him debut his album tonight at King King in Hollywood.

Good luck, Derek!

roll dem bones: blue cheer: what doesn`t kill you (2007)

Blue Cheer is an American blues-rock band that initially performed and recorded in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and has been sporadically active since. Based in San Francisco, Blue Cheer played in a psychedelic blues-rock style, and are also credited as being pioneers of heavy metal music. According to Tim Hills in his book, The Many Lives of the Crystal Ballroom... "Blue Cheer was the epitome of San Francisco psychedelia. The band was rumored to have been named after a brand of LSD and promoted by renowned LSD chemist and former Grateful Dead patron, Owsley Stanley."

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
