"Blue for You" ....Widowmaker....from the album "Blood and Bullets" (1990)..some nice guitar work from ex-Blue Oyster Cult`s Al Pitrelli and a strong vocal from Dee Snider...not as messy or as rough as Twisted Sister.

Widowmaker was formed by ex-Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider in 1990...with Joe Franco, Al Pitrelli, and Marc Russel. They recorded two albums with limited underground success, titled Blood and Bullets, and Stand By For Pain.

Prior to the forming of Widowmaker (after Twisted Sister dissolved in the late 1980s) Snider formed Desperado , a band featuring ex-Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, ex-Gillan guitarist Bernie Torme, and bassist Marc Russel. The group's only album Ace has never been officially released but was heavily bootlegged on CD under the title Bloodied But Unbowed.

"Endless Drifting Wreck"...Farflung...from the album "A Wound in Eternity" (2008)

I have just discovered these guys on Youtube...and i like what i hear....very tight guitar-driven and flat out space-rock with a distinct punk feel...lead guitarist Tommy Grenas played with Hawkwind member Nik Turner and there is certainly that spacey feel to it crossed with 70s hard rock....very nice indeed....

Hawkwind - Night Of The Hawks live in Nottingham 1990...the original Hawklords Dave Brock and Harvey Bainbridge....choice lyrics as well....

Hawkwind - Night Of The Hawk lyrics

In all official circles

Across this big wide world

Between the radio stations

A coded message heard

No one knew the meaning

All our efforts seem to fail

But if they catch you listening

Then they'll lock you up in jail

So we found ourselves a place we did not know

Tension in the air and a strange earthly glow

Then amidst the noise of a thousand people's talk

There came a cry "It's The Night of The Hawk!"

The wind was raging, and the stars were black

We all knew there was no turning back

The gates of Hell stared in our face

Nowhere to hide in this wasted place

The curious folk who chanced to stray across this downland way

Heard the music blast apart

The games that politicians start

On English land the people dance

Like moths caught in a lamp

Where tribes of wanton peacocks strut

All waiting to encamp

So we found ourselves a place we did not know

Tension in the air and a strange earthly glow

Then amidst the noise of a thousand people's talk

There came a cry "It's The Night of The Hawk

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
