People - I Love You (1968)

The highlight of this album is the title track. I've read that the album version is longer that the 45 (single) version that was a hit....their only hit. I only have the album version which is four and a half minutes. The single version reached #1 in several countries and reached #14 in the United States. I bet I'm the only one on this board that remembers them. Dude has heard of them but his brain is fried from cheap drugs and alcohol. Koop has heard of them too but he is senile as a result of his triple digit age factor. Sir Droopy is the only other possibility. The more I think of it, I'm sure he knows the group and tune.

EDIT: I found a couple of pics of the 45 and you can clearly read the play length as 4:37 so the 45 was the same version as the album. It is interesting to note that the vid below is 3 min. Go figger.

Tracklist:

1.1000 Years B.C.

2.Nothing Can Stop The Elephants

3.Ashes Of Me

4.Crying Shoes

5.I Love You

6.What We Need Is A Lot More Jesus And A Lot Less Rock n' Roll

7.The Epic

The Real Tuesday Weld - It's A Wonderful Life, from the album London Book of the Dead.

The Real Tuesday Weld are a British band, fronted by lead singer and founder Stephen Coates. They are known for producing jazzy cabaret-style music with subtle electronica influences, a style dubbed "antique beat" - Wikipedia

The Real Tuesday Weld are a great band - they actually know how to play their instruments. Not sure about your Cherry boys

I remember liking the Are You A Boy, Or Are You A Girl single from The Barbarians - do you still have it? B)

Production values were kind of weak back then, but the song was not bad for 1965 - they almost sound like Paul Revere and the Raiders

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
