Different to say the least. I have never heard of any of these tracks before. Playing time is just over 153 minutes.

I'm sure Koop heard them back in the day on the radio.

That's a collector's item! When did Jelly Roll Morton begin to play?

As usual, I don't own the cd.

I think he became popular in the 1920's and died sometime around WWII. I'm sure he was playing before the 1920's but I don't know.

Ask Koop.

Neil Young - Greatest Hits (2004)

post-269-1222721034_thumb.jpg

01. Down By The River

02. Cowgirl In The Sand

03. Cinnamon Girl

04. Helpless

05. After The Gold Rush

06. Only Love Can Break Your Heart

07. Southern Man

11. Heart Of Gold

12. Like A Hurricane

13. Comes A Time

14. Hey Hey My My (Into The Black)

15. Rockin In The Free World

16. Harvest Moon

It was a very short listen. :sick02:

He has written some great songs but his voice grates on me something awful. It reminds me of a cat with it's tail caught in the door. After The Gold Rush is a great tune as performed by Prelude but this boy just can't sing.

I realize that not everybody feels that way which is why he has sold a bazillion albums. I play his screechy ass crap every once in a while thinking that maybe listening to him is an aquired taste. I am old as dirt and didn't like him back in the day and still don't. Crosby, Stills and Nash sounded better to me than CSNY.

And NO! I didn't buy this cd. I got a lossless version for free in cyberspace and still paid too much.

Joan Baez - Day After Tomorrow (2008)

post-269-1222735405_thumb.jpg

post-269-1222735429_thumb.jpg

01. God Is God

02. Rose of Sharon

04. Day After Tomorrow

05. Henry Russell's Last Words

06. I Am A Wanderer

07. Mary

Joan Baez has been around forever and she is a very talented singer/songwriter. I believe this album was released a couple of weeks ago. I am not a huge fan of folk music but I think those that are will really like this album.

It is much better than Neil Young.

I can listen to her for hours and not want to throw up. Neil Young gives me that sensation in about 2 minutes.

The Young Rascals - Collections (1967)

This album is not a compilation as the title may suggest. It is the Rascals 2nd album. Later they dropped the "Young" from their name and became "The Rascals". Probably the biggest (only? lol) hit on this album is track 3, Lonely Too Long.

2 Since I Fell for You

3 Lonely too Long

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
