Compilation of 50's and 60's tunes of original recordings by the first artist to record the songs. All these songs were hits later by someone else. Some of these versions are very good. The artists just didn't have the name recognition to get the airplay required to become a hit.

That looks impressive

It is more Temptations than most people want 4sure. I have not seen a better set of their tunes. I had a decent copy with artwork that wasn't backed up. It went away with a hard drive failure. Now I have a 320 cbr copy but no artwork. I'd trade my front row seat in Hell for a lossless copy (wav, flac, ape) that also had the artwork. The 5cds take up 885megs as a 320cbr mp3 but I am hopeful someone that has a lot of bandwidth will post a lossless copy.

Then again, I could just BUY the set, huh?

I do have "Temptations 17 Greatest Hits" (1985) in a flac format with no artwork. It has their biggest hits but "Temptations - Emperors Of Soul" (1994) box set is the deal.

btw everything is now backed up. lol

Who - Who's Next (1971)

01. Baba O'Riley (5:00)

02. Bargain (5:33)

03. Love Ain't For Keeping (2:10)

04. My Wife (3:36)

05. The Song Is Over (6:13)

06. Getting In Tune (4:50)

07. Going Mobile (3:44)

08. Behind Blue Eyes (3:43)

09. Won't Get Fooled Again (8:35)

I have some scans of the artwork but each jpg exceeds 2megs so I can't post them here. Sorry.

I actually have this in a non compressed (wv file & cue) MCA Masterdisc remastered copy and a vbr mp3 copy of the Deluxe Edition 2cd release from 2003.

Foobar 2000 will play the cue files but I have no idea what program people are using to create those. Most other players wll play the cue files as a single track and not break it into individual songs. Foobar will break it down into individual tracks automatically. Great free program that Rickio turned me on to about 3 yrs ago. It has several things that I like but it takes some getting used to. It is not user friendly but when you figure it out it is a very nice software. Thanks, Rickio!!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
