Who be Ron Dante?

Jurassic tunes of course.

Voice of The Archies (Toni Wine does the female voices) (Sugar, Sugar (1969 #1, Jingle Jangle (1970 #10), The Cuff Links (Tracy (1969 #9)), The Detergents (Leader Of The Laundromat (1965 #19)) and he released some solo tracks but few of those charted at all. I had a couple of his albums on the hard drive that died and wasn't backed up 6 months ago. Now all I have is a few tracks. The albums are gone. He released a new album of covers a few months back but I haven't bothered to buy it and I haven't seen it in cyberspace.

Too much info?? :)

Yes.

He's quite a talent. That's also him singing lead on Jingle Jangle. Go figger.

He produced Cher's stuff back in the 70's and also Barry Manilow. He's sang backup for several groups and produced some others. He has written some stuff. You know everybody in the music business so I am somewhat surprised that you don't know him. But then again, I was somewhat surprised to find that you voted for Bush 8 times in the last election and I only helped you with 7 of those votes. Where did the other one come from?

Booker T & The MGs

I have a few albums. I can't decide which track I like best. I like quite a few but my 2 favorites are probably also their biggest hits: "Green Onions" and "Time Is Tight".

Carnivore - Angry Neurotic Catholics

mini.jpg

I'm suffering from depression

the anger turned within

What do I gain for all my pain--

Perhaps a seat in heaven?

Check it out!

Don't do what you want

Do what you're taught is right

Your life is built on paranoia and guilt

Don't forget your Valium tonight

The agony I must endure

My mind is painful and swells

The punishment for what I've done

is forever the pains of hell

How come what is natural

has to be a sin?

Why would God give me this urge

if I cannot give in?

they say don't give up, that Jesus loves me

but there's some things he doesn't forgive

I know I have sinned and am therefore worthless

and I don't deserve to live

I went down to my basement

confused and depressed and put Black Sabbath on

A razor blade in hand a Wilkinson I think

ten slashes in each arm

My only wrongdoing

was being born human and following my instincts

I never was happy

I never was sane

so I shall be extinct

The growing pool of crimson--at last I am pure

Witness my sanguineous penance

I don't need anyone

My soul's been set free

Death is total independence

Stand up straight

Stomach in

Shoulders back

Sound off!

Angry! Neurotic! Catholics!

Angry! Neurotic! Catholics!

It's not a sin,

It's not a sin--Shut the fuck up!

Angry! Neurotic! Catholics!

Angry! Neurotic! Catholics!

It's not a sin,

It's not a sin!

Shut up! Shut up! Get out of my head!

Get out!

Get Out!

Angry Neurotic Catholics

It's a sin!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
