Sin City

I just watched this pup.

Unbelievable in so many ways. The story, actors, faithfulness to the original, perfomances.

The sheer number of incredibly talented/hot actors/actresses was mind-blowing.

Just watched it again with a friend.

I'm thinking of incurring late fees to take it over so my cousin can watch it. I haven't been this taken by a movie in years.

oh yeah...it's a sweet movie. I'm definitely glad I caught that in the theater.

You know they're making a second and third movie right?

Here's the cast for the second movie, along with the poster...I never thought Frank Miller could create such despicable characters...

I've thumbed them. But never really read them. We used to have this real strange thing here, it was called a local record store. In this wonderous building, they also sold comics. I spent many an hour and many a dollar there. Then enter wal-mart and their damn censored CD's, too many label mergers, and the resulting pile of crap that is music today.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
