Thanks to all! I celebrated my birthday by going to the batting cages here and taking some swings with my wooden bat. I still haven't lost my swing...I entertained the 7 and 8 year-olds I coached this year by hitting balls out of the longer fields we practiced on...instant credibility...they listened to the coaching advice I had, even if they did forget it the next day.

I'm a bachelor this weekend, wife is in St. Louis at a baseball tournament with the youngest grandson. House is a mess and will stay so until Thursday when she's back. I treated myself to Taco casserole today, and have a watermelon in the fridge...a perfectly balenced diet. I've pigged out on that stuff, baseball and movies all weekend. Doesn't get much better than that.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
