Welcome Back, Kooperman - New Member

Recommended Posts

Though I suppose an entire thread to welcome a new member is overkill, I have to say I'm happy to see you here.

You've been mia for awhile. :D

How 'bout those Steelers......lol.

Hey Rainbow, dont know if you are aware, but I'm a Pennsylvania boy. Just went back two weeks ago to see the Penn State and Ohio State game. I saw Franco Harris play at Penn State before he went on to catch the immaculate reception for the Steelers--how was that for a game?

Sorry, Kooperman, I edited your post. LOL - I thought I hit quote. Oh, well, these moderator keys are dangerous in my hands...

I've never gone by the name mia. I've ALWAYS preferred to use gertrude or agnes. By the way, soccer player mia hamm married baseball player nomar garciaparra over the weekend.

Glad to see a new place springing up.....perhaps more will follow. Seems that the atmosphere is getting a little thick right now elsewhere, for whatever reason, and a place where it's a little saner is quite welcome. Rainbow, how 'bout those Steelers......lol.

I agree, things are getting a bit rough elsewhere. We are trying to build this site into a nice place to hang out. Steelers? Bah!! Again, it's real nice to have you here. All we need is redneck4sure and the senior circle will be complete!!

:D

Form the "amazing coincidence" department. Just after I saw Koop was posting here, I went to ZP and his pic was in the random images block!!

Scared the hell out of me......thought one of my submerged personalities had taken over for a while....I've never even been in Pennsylvania, lol.

So Dude is the Pennsylvania boy. Not Kooperman. I think I got that straight. I lived in Pittsburgh most of my life. Just moved to West Virginia about 3 years ago. But I'll always be a Steeler fan.

Yep, born and raised in Carlisle, PA. Who would have thought I would have ended up in Hollywood--and it all started years ago as all my friends growing up were wannabe rock musicians and I was the music collector :)

I only miss a few things about Pittsburgh. Not much. My employer there used to get us tickets once in a while. That was nice!!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
