The Go Betweens - Oceans Apart

Not sure where to place this - it's not Rock, it's not Folk, and it's not Jazz - so I settled on Pop. Here is a review I read on Amazon:

With 'Oceans Apart,' I think Forster and McLennan have perhaps come up with their best post-comeback album yet, containing songs which tap into certain key elements that made their 80s work so great, without aping it or coming off as retro-minded in any way, shape or form. In fact, this album atually displays an adventurous, fairly forward-thinking streak, due in no small part to the creative and thoughtful tinkering of producer Mark Wallis, who trainspotters will recognize as the producer for the Go-Betweens last 80s, pre-break-up record '16 Lovers Lane.'

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
