Jack White/Brendan Benson Form Raconeturs

Jack White and Brendan Benson, along with members from their V2 Records labelmates the Greenhornes, are nearly finished with a collaborative album, and-- according to Jack as quoted in Billboard-- have even named the band behind the album: the Raconteurs. At first we thought these jokesters were getting all French on us, but then we checked our dictionary and found the band name means "one who excels at telling anecdotes." This fits the band's makeup, and frames Jack's remarks on Billboard well: "It's something totally new for me-- two songwriters working together. Dual vocals, dual lead guitars, dual songwriting duties." The Greenhornes' Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence will be telling their own little stories with drums and bass guitar, respectively.
