Holy shit man. You're the second artist to link to his stuff here in the last week that was good enough to make a person wonder why they hadn't heard of it before.

Whereabouts are you?

Thanks man. Yeah, I'm the producer (TONY CHRISTIAN aka AUTOPSY). I'm out of Ft. Lauderdale. Originally from Kansas City, but I've lived in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale about 15 years. I'm pushin this real hard. It's gonna take awhile to break, cause I'm doin all the promotion myself, but I'm not movin on to the next project till this one is totally exhausted.

DJ's have been responding real well to this. Thanks again for the feedback, it helps to know people feelin it.

You produced this?

The melody gets way to sappy melodic at one point.  This crew is good, Could get signed easily.  Production is superb.

But, all in all...its just not artful to me.

But alot of people like music cuz they like to hear what no one will tell em.

Hey I appreciate your opinion. Also thanks for giving a well thought out breakdown of what you liked and didn't like about it.

However there is a point or two I must disagree with you about.

1. you said that the melody is way too sappy melodic. You have to consider the target market the genre and the intended effect.

The target market are females (not all, but generally speaking) and the secondary audience are the fellas like myself that just like to hear good music.

Women do like to hear music because it sometimes says what no one will tell them. You could learn alot about women through music.

Also I personally like melodies. I find it more challenging to create a catchy melody than any hardcore beats, and I do have hardcore tracks that I'm sure you'd find "artfull" but only took me 15 minutes to create.

2. You said that it isn't artful.

Being somewhat of a student of music I believe you're wrong. Art begins with an idea. After the conception of the idea it then manifests it'self into a full concept. It isn't art only if it fails to deliver on it's intended purpose. I listen to classical, jazz, old motown, stax, rock, new age and I can create "artful compositions" in each of the proceeding genres of music. But it took just as much creativity to create this production as it would for me to do any of the proceeding styles.

Don't get me wrong, I like to hear constructive criticism, cause it helps me analyze what I'm doing.

I believe you spoke honestly and I appreciate that.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
