You have to read this shit. Apparently 2 members ridiculed this guy and he knew where they lived. To make a long story short, he killed them.

Tough board to post on. I think I will stay here and not ridicule anyone within driving distance. Koop is too old to drive this far and Dude can't afford to be caught in Texas with his ACLU card in his pocket and Kerry bumper sticker on his car. <_>

Do you really think he killed some people? Damn - it wasnt even a Tuesday  Anyway, if it's true, it's really sick - I live in California. Thank God we have Redneck in the house to protect us...

Dug and dug through that site. On the thread that the whole thing was supposed to go down on, found this link.

http://www.radpin.com/journal.aspx?storyid=135

There is a seperate thread, still trying to legitimize some of the supporting news "articles".

Candle light vigil pics: taken from 9/11 vigil

BBC news site: spoofed, though they tried to say that it was "saved" and hosted on the sight owners website to "keep the truth out there"

San Diego News Article: Says this dead body found is waiting for autopsy to determine cause of death. These were supossed to be shotgun murders. I would suppose that a shotgun blast would be rather appearant.

somewhere at the end of that thread is a link which explains if it's a hoax or not. I was too busy to read but if someone figures this out, please do tell. It's pretty sick though

I dug around about it for about an hour, hour and a half. I finally found the seperate thread where the supposed killer owned up to the hoax, and the site admin had something on his homepage blog about it. The more I dug into it, and the more I watched the way people were reacting, the more I knew it had to be a hoax.

The final clue was the fact that the forum is linked to a pirate radio station. One of the threads I found trying to keep the hoax alive stated that the station was "illegal." On the contrary, within certain constraints, pirate radio is perfectly legal. Little mistakes leave the door open.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
