How the hell do you have more posts than me?   I protest  :)

Can you add a Pitchfork feed and less TMZ this time around?

We need an Indie Rock forum.  Jefe Media feed should not be grouped with the other Music categories

I just posted an item in rock from the LA Weekly -- why didnt the pic and headline show up like they do in the post I had at Facebook?

@DudeAsInCool :)

Pitchfork is already included... TMZ is just one source who happens to post a lot of articles.

Indie Rock can go under rock for the moment until it picks up traction don't you think? I think we have too many forums as it is. JefeMedia feed is dead and should be gone -- that was a testing ground from a while ago that I thought I deleted (years) ago.

Link? nevermind I'll look for it...

Ok I see you meant this post ... when I mentioned auto-parsing before, that's for media (think youtube, soundcloud, etc)

Facebook has it's own meta tags that extract that information from a link or uses an ugly default if none is specified. IPS is not that good, however, you CAN copy/paste directly from an article and it should appear here the same way.

You're going to have to be more specific.

This is what I see at the bottom of my own and your page:

Are you talking about where it says STAY CONNECTED?

No.  Look at your or mine account settings at the bottom

This is what I see... you don't sync them up for individual posts, you choose these options to easily connect and login to your account here. I used Twitter to update my profile photo and not syncing anything with facebook.

Just to the left of this area is where you can connect Twitter or Facebook:

RfsmXZAIwpKlMjKYVl24m3Eq418gEYEpzmRgOzw5

From here, you can choose what you want to sync back to BeatKing:

If you want to share individual posts (like this one for example), click on any of these, right above the footer:

OK.  Fyi, only old links, not the videos, are showing up in the "What Am I Listening To" Thread!    Can you fix that?   We are talking about hundreds of screwed up posts

How do I post a video?  I added a youtube link, but nothing happens on the boards

Right, I'm aware... this is the reason @method77 and I said a while back that we should try and limit the iframes...

I don't have an automated solution to fix this but I can look for one later this week. I know what has to be done, but not necessarily where it needs to happen.

As far as the video thing goes, I replied to that thread. Use the URL from the address bar and not the shortened url. It annoys me too

any progress on the videos?  not so sure i like this upgrade yet.  what are the plusses and minuses?

This is what we wanted, right? The frame issues were going to happen eventually because we didn't want HTML in posts and see where we are now. Haven't had time to look at the conversions more. I don't know the pluses and minuses. This is just the standard upgrade path we were going towards. The plus is we're off way outdated software.

Is there a program we could buy that would fix the video issues?

I've looked and haven't come up with anything. Trust me I'm trying to make this as simple for myself as possible too. The issue is not only Youtube links, but also soundcloud, bandcamp and more. iFrames are not something we ever wanted on the board, but tolerated at the time due to a lack of technology.

    • What music site could be without a "What are you listening to" thread? So, I will start:
Tom Petty - Learning To Fly
"Learning To Fly" was written in 1991 by Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne for the album Into The Great Wide Open. It was featured on the soundtrack of the 2005 film Elizabethtown, directed by Cameron Crowe.

    • Drake & A$AP Rocky's Worlds Collide In "Splashiest" Photo
Drake is in the middle of his joint tour overseas with Tory Lanez but that isn't stopping him from catching up with some old friends. The duo of Canadians has had some bad luck in Amsterdam, having to reschedule a couple of shows until later in the year. They're still creating memories on every stop that they end up performing at, though. When Drizzy isn't on the phone with his son Adonis or on stage for the Assassination Vacation tour, he's either in the studio or chilling with his crew. The 6ix God made sure to let people know that he and A$AP Rocky ran into each other, posting a set of photos from this week.

In the first slide, Rocky stands next to Drake in his pink babushka. It's clear that he's still trying to popularize the style, rocking with the look for a few months now. A couple of other shots were added to the recap with shout-outs to Drake's whiskey brand and the Lejonhjerta twins.
Drake recently spoke as part of Mustafa The Poet's new short film, giving personal details about gun violence in his hometown of Toronto. He recently debuted a new tattoo on his forearm, inking a portrait of his firstborn son so he can see Adonis everywhere he goes.

    • Cardi B Appears To Deny Claims She Dissed Megan Thee Stallion
A screenshot of Cardi B's Instagram Story surfaced earlier this week which read, “Ain’t no hoe taking my spot. Stop BAPPIN." Many thought this was a dig at Megan Thee Stallion but Cardi took to social media to clear up the rumors.
Cardi B made it clear that she doesn't have any feud with Megan Thee Stallion. She took to Twitter to clarify the Instagram Story, claiming that she hasn't even really been online in the first place.
"I barely been getting online. I haven’t been talking to nobody just straight promoting! Stop putting me in bullshit let me keep minding my business in peace. Thank you," she wrote.
Megan Thee Stallion also appeared to address the rumors shortly after Cardi.
"If you’re a real hottie, please spread positivity. we real around here and we fw everybody that fw us. No dry hating no dry beef," she wrote on Twitter.
Megan Thee Stallion recently addressed the competition among female rappers. She explained the competitive nature is part of hip-hop but at some point, it won't necessarily be like that forever.
“I feel like since, like, forever, it has only been, like, one female rapper at a time. And naturally, women are competitive. So I feel like, without beef, hip-hop probably wouldn’t even be what it is, so it’s good to have, like, a little friendly competition here and there,” Megan said told Essence. “ Just because we might be rapping about some of the same things, we’re not doing it in the same way. There’s enough room for all of us to eat. So as soon as we can get that together, then we’ll be all right.”
